How long does it take to develop a Magento 2 store?

What does building a Magento 2 store from scratch include?

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce: how do we choose?

We work with both and have live stores on each. Magento Open Source covers most B2C stores and many B2B ones, with no licence fee. Adobe Commerce adds native features (advanced B2B, segmentation, content, Adobe support) in exchange for an annual licence and makes sense for high volumes or complex B2B requirements. We make our recommendation during the analysis stage, based on your requirements rather than on the platform.

Do we start from a Magento 2 theme or from a custom design?

Both are possible. We either start from a proven Magento 2 theme and build the interfaces for each page on top of it, or we build the design from scratch. We choose together during the analysis stage, based on your goals and budget. More on the Magento UI/UX design page.

Will the store be able to sell B2B and through several stores (multi-store)?

Yes. Magento 2 supports several stores in a single codebase, with products, categories, currencies, languages, domains, themes, payment and delivery methods managed centrally. For B2B we configure the flows you need (customer group pricing, company accounts, quick ordering) on Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce, depending on your requirements.

What happens after launch?
